You would think that volunteering is about serving the Lord, giving back to Him and filling His enormous heart with our if-you-think-about-it-its-really-futile efforts. No, even when it should be all about Him, He also makes it about us, about you, about me (and my messy ombré hair.) His unfailing love triumphs again and again and again by making sure my cold, broken, impure but saved heart gets fulfilled just as well. He knew that my heart’s praises have heightened in the last 48 hours and that I needed more than a service’s worth of songs. I was, am and will always be in awe of Him.
